Turbot is a flatfish with a good-flavoured, firm white flesh and a meaty taste. It's one of the finest fish available around our coastlines and as such is highly-prized. A very special treat for a special occasion.
We can supply wild turbot in a range of sizes to suit the number of people you're serving. They are supplied as whole fish to cook on the bone - the recommended method for a really tasty fish (simple baked turbot recipe here).
Here's a quick guide to buying:
Small: 500g - 1kg turbot = 2 people
Medium: 1.5kg - 2kg = 4 people
Large: 2.5 - 3kg = 6 people
Extra large: 3.5 - 4kg = 8 people
