If you're looking for a cheaper and more sustainable alternative to UK cod, we prepare at least two other types of white fish every week. These will vary between sustainable South Coast pollock, Scottish haddock and West Country hake - all wild fresh fish landed around the UK coastline (unlike a lot of supermarket frozen fish).
We start with whole fish, which are expertly hand filleted and cut into 160g-180g portions. We cut, pack and freeze on the the same day to maintain maximum freshness. Everything comes wrapped in our signature compostable packaging so it's plastic-free.
Great as a handy freezer staple for deliciously versatile meals and an ideal choice for a healthy, balanced diet.
Allergy advice: Fish (100%)
Haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus)
Pollock (Theragra chalcogramma)
Hake (Merluccius merluccius)
Capture method: Demersal otter trawl
Production method: Wild, caught at sea
Production country: UK
The sustainability of fish can vary significantly depending on how and where it has been caught or farmed. Many single species are caught or farmed in a variety of ways and this range shows that, within a species, some sources may be more sustainable than others.
We aim to use the 1-5 traffic light system developed by the Marine Conservation Society to help you choose the most environmentally sustainable UK fish.
'Best choices' are rated 1 and 2 (green), 'Fish to Avoid' are rated 5 (red). Ratings 3 and 4 mean 'Think' (yellow and amber), as there are better rated alternatives.
We have 5 frozen pack sizes available:
Small: 4 portions of sustainable white fish fillet (640g-720g)
Medium: 6 portions of sustainable white fish fillet (960g-1.1kg)
Large: 8 portions of sustainable white fish fillet (1.3kg-1.4kg)
X-Large: 12 portions of sustainable white fish fillet (1.9kg-2.2kg)
XX-Large: 16 portions of sustainable white fish fillet (2.5kg-2.9kg)
Portions come in convenient packs of 2 - each pack has similar-sized portions so they have an even cooking time.

"Noticeably better quality than supermarket fish."
"Incredible quality, in fact, the best quality I have ever tasted. All you can ask for and worth every penny."
"Absolutely beautiful fish. Very fresh, chunky and the taste was superb."
When we deliver your frozen fish, it should go straight into the freezer to maintain quality and freshness - the paper in which it arrives is fine for freezing. If you remove the paper, store your fish in a sealed freezer container or bag.
Each pack is labelled with a 'Use By' date 3 months after the date your fish was cut, packed and frozen. To eat, defrost it thoroughly and eat on the same day. Do not re-freeze.
The paper in which your fish is wrapped is compostable, so it can go in your food waste bin or composter.
